Since Hot Shot teaser was shown @ ABS-CBN, I browsed some of our local forums and the discussions were really "hot!" ... Posters were really excited and happy. I would like to thank ABS-CBN (in advance) for the efforts made yesterday. I am still hoping to see the teaser online (anyone who has a big heart, please send me the clip!)

Meanwhile, while we are waiting for the Official Broadcast (Taiwan), let me share to you these links. If you have an account, you may join the discussion. I bet this will be a great hit soon!

HOT SHOT

The plot: Story details have been sketchy but it's about three outstanding basketballers from two competing teams.

The 13-episode drama serial reportedly took three years of planning and cost NT$60m ($2.7m) to make.

The producers have sold broadcast rights to various overseas markets, including Japan and Korea, and recovered production costs even before the serial opens in the middle of this year.

Its star Wu Chun told The New Paper recently: 'I'm not worried about competition with the other drama serials or movies, we just wanted to make a good production.'

Hot shots: This would seem to be THE basketball dream team.

The lethal combination of Taiwan's dashing dudes - Wu Chun, Show Luo and Jerry Yen - makes this a drama serial to watch out for.

What's more, the hot trio will show off real skills, said Wu Chun, who used to be a national basketball player in Brunei.

Jerry Yen is just as accomplished a player - he was spot on with nine out of 10 shots he made during filming.

Sizzles or fizzles: It's salsa hot!

If cool Jerry is not the ball in your net, there's always wholesome Wu Chun or funny guy Show to drool over.

So bring out the popcorn and save the finished tub to catch your drool!

Show Luo (Xiao Zhu), Jerry Yan & Wu Zun starring in GTV's "Hot Shot" [Patriarchal], is quickly becoming "3P Broke Back Shot", the day before the 3's first scene together, Xiao Zhu first had to fly over Wu Zun then over to Jerry's car "shake the car", because Xiao Zhu's strength was too strong, he actually dented a hole.

The 3's fans have been supporting, but personally the 3 has no gun powder. Xiao Zhu and Wu Zun were going through their scenes under the huge sun, they were both soaked with sweat all over, and even took off the shirts, comparing who had more sweat; Jerry and Xiao Zhu during breaks shared taro chips, Jerry still didn't leave even after his scenes were done, staying behind to watch Xiao Zhu act.

Xiao Zhu's scenes in "Hot Shot" is really heavy, the first shot he was arranged to chase back what his grandmother gave him "Golden Basket Ball", not caring for himself jumping from buses, zig zagging through busy traffic, displaying personal bouncing abilities. Seeing Wu Zun handsomely riding in a motorcyle, Jerry driving in air conditioning, his sour heart says: "This scene is really big, but why are both of them so relaxing!"

Lian He Bao

After Wu Zun's agent, it is Show Luo agent's turn to release news. Today, a news article on Lian He Bao reported that Show once wanted to quit after the media ignored the fact that he is also Hot Shot's main lead, the same as Yan Cheng Xu. It was also reported how busy he is.

Obviously this news article was released by GTV. It was reported that the overseas copyright of Hot Shot has been sold for NT$67.9 millions but the production fee is estimated to be NT80 millions, much more than the previous budget of NT$60 millions. Then it was reported how great GTV is that it decides to continue the project, as its goal is to promote Chinese dramas to overseas markets and TW's tourism. In the last paragraph, it was reported that the amount of NT67.9 millions has not included the profits from commercials or official merchandise. I think it has not included the profits from the release of official DVD/cd/vcd neither, not mentioning the sales of overseas copyright is not complete.

Well, with Yan Cheng Xu alone, TH's copyright was sold for over NT100 millions around the world, with US20,000 per episode in Japan. Now, HS's copyright was sold for US30,000 per episode in Japan because of Jerry, but the total copyright sales amount is smaller? Either this is misleading or GTV should fire the one who did the mathematics.

*info on the female lead

The lead actress is Zhou Caishi. Remember Jerry's Uha commercial where he was playing the piano? She's the girl in that cm :)

her profile:
http://www.wretch.cc/user/kissingtracy

She has some TW drama serials and numerous commercials to her credit.

According to news today, she auditioned 7 times before she got the role in BOF. She said that she has been Jerry's fan since watching MG. She also thinks that Jerry is more handsome now and has the stance of a superstar.
